英語為國際語言，微笑也是另一國際語言。竹圍國小被推選為全國英語教學特色學校，本作品藉此語言特色延伸出「歡喜臉」的藝術裝置。以師生們在序列的趣味創作活動中所捏製的可愛臉譜，排列出代表校園特色之意象符號（摘星、向陽、望海、觀山），讓一張張笑臉有如學校晨暮歡喜迎送師生到校與離校，亦意涵著師生在校攜手共同成長與學習。本裝置並搭配留言對話框，提供師生一個輕鬆、自然與在地情事巧妙對話的空間，展現出校園角落可愛、趣味、朝氣之氛圍。
English, a global language, smile, too! Zhuwei Elementary School is known nationally as an English characterized school, the artwork ‘Kids Talk, Happy Faces’ symbolizes a kind message from the school to say hello extensively. Each cute face is presented by students and teachers during fun-inspiring activities to embody the feature encircling in school campus: Stretching out for the Star , Facing the Sun, Looking at the Sea, and Gazing at the Mountains. It reflects every smiling face to greet students and teachers to school and back home every day! It implies a joint effort, heart in heart and hand in hand. This artwork also provides a dialogue space for a natural and easy-going conversation with local interesting events to create a more interactive and prosperous school atmosphere.| |
